Beckman Coulter Life Sciences selects northern Colorado for expanded research and development facility

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences has selected northern Colorado for its expanded research and development facility, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade announced Monday in a press release. 

“We have been impressed with the caliber of the talent pool in the greater Loveland area along with the prime location, culture, educational opportunities, and business environment,” said Greg Milosevich, the president of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, in a press release. “Our strong business needs required us to ramp up quickly last year and we’re proud that despite the economic downturn in 2020, we were able to create more than 60 high-paying jobs in Loveland.”

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is a Fortune 500 bioscience precision instruments manufacturer, according to the press release. The company employs about 130 people in Loveland, and anticipates creating up to 85 new jobs in Loveland. Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, which was founded in 1935, has headquarters in Indianapolis. Its parent company is Danaher Corporation, a Fortune 500 science and technology company with operating companies throughout the world.

“Beckman Coulter Life Sciences will bring 85 good-paying jobs in the key advanced industry of bioscience to Northern Colorado, further positioning our state as a growing industry leader in the area, ” said Gov. Jared Polis. “We want to ensure that the economic recovery is strong throughout the state and I’m excited to announce this welcome news for northern Colorado.”

The new office will include breakout rooms, technology centers, a gym, an indoor-outdoor hybrid meeting space, and gathering rooms, according to the press release. The office will also include a customer engagement center. 

Beckman Coulter manufactures and markets products that “simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical tests,” according to its website
