LIVE: Gov. Polis and Dr. Anthony Fauci give briefing on COVID-19 at noon Dec. 1

Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at noon Dec. 1 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response.

The governor is expected to be joined during the briefing by Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recorded an average of 4,059 new cases of COVID-19 each day from Nov. 23 through Nov. 29. That’s down from the daily average 4,922 from the prior seven days.

In total, 3,037 people have died in Colorado with COVID-19, and 2,656 have died as a direct result of the illness.
