LIVE: Gov. Polis gives briefing on COVID-19 at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17

Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 17 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response.

The news briefing will be conducted from the Governor’s Mansion.

The governor is expected to be joined during the briefing by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, state Senate President Leroy Garcia, and state House Speaker-designate Alec Garnett.

Through Nov. 16, Colorado had 167,713 cases of COVID-19 and 2,276 deaths due to the disease, according to data from CDPHE.

The weekly average of daily reported new cases was 4,406 for the week ending Nov. 15 — a jump from the previous week, when the average was 3,282 new cases per day.
