LIVE: Gov. Polis gives briefing on COVID-19 at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 24

    Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 24 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response.

    The governor is expected to be joined during the briefing by state epidemiologist Rachel Herlihy.

    The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recorded an average of 4,684 new cases of COVID-19 each day from Nov. 16 through Nov. 22. One in every 49 Coloradans is contagious with coronavirus, according to the latest modeling from the Colorado School of Public Health and its university partners.

    Statewide, at least 408 people have died with the disease since Oct. 26. In total, 2,810 people have died in Colorado with COVID-19, and 2,456 have died as a direct result of the illness.
