Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response. The news briefing will be conducted from the Governor’s Mansion in Denver.

At the briefing, Polis will be joined by Katy Anthes, Colorado’s commissioner of education; Rico Munn, superintendent of Aurora Public Schools; and Chris Rogers, who is medical director, child and adolescent services, at the Medical Center of Aurora, and president of the Colorado Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Society.
Through Sept. 28, Colorado had 67,490 cases of COVID-19 and 1,945 deaths due to the disease, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. As of Sept. 27, the three-day average number of daily cases was 471. This is down from a three-day average of 556 a week earlier, but well higher than a recent low of 231, on Sept. 7.
