LIVE: Gov. Polis gives COVID-19 briefing at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 26

Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 26 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response and economic resiliency. The news briefing will be conducted at the Governor’s Mansion in Denver.

State Sens. Jeff Bridges and Faith Winter and Kent Thiry, former CEO of Denver-based DaVita Inc., are scheduled to participate, according to a press release.

Through Aug. 25, Colorado had 55,800 cases of COVID-19 and 1,826 deaths due to the disease, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The three-day moving average of daily new cases in the state is 245, down from the most recent peak of 351 on Aug. 20.
