LIVE: Gov. Polis gives COVID-19 briefing at noon Aug. 21

Gov. Jared Polis is scheduled to give a live update at noon Aug. 21 on Colorado’s COVID-19 response. The news briefing will be conducted at the Governor’s Mansion in Denver.

Through Aug. 19, Colorado had 54,230 cases of COVID-19 and 1,815 deaths due to the disease, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The three-day moving average of daily new cases in the state is 260 cases, down from 323 cases Aug. 12.

Also on Aug. 20, the state announced new demographic data on COVID-19 hospitalizations, which he may address at the briefing.
